This book chronicles the lives of the two influential graphic designers, the worlds they lived in, and the spaces where they intersected.
Otl Aicher (1922-1991) was one of the most influential German graphic designers of the 20th century. You may recognize his work from the 1972 Munich Olympics, Lufthansa, Ulm School of Design, and the typeface, Rotis.
Stuart Ash (1942-) is an award-winning Canadian graphic designer who co-founded the international design firm, Gottschalk+Ash. Ash's oeuvre includes the Canadian Centennial Symbol, Toronto's PATH, and the American Airlines Arena.
