About

SOS is a network of smart vending machines that connects people to products they need when and where they need them most, in places like Fenway Park, Prudential Center, and Rockefeller Plaza.

Role

During my co-op at SOS, I worked on a range of creative projects, including direct-to-consumer ads, sales assets, digital marketing, and apparel design. One highlight from this experience was initiating a UI redesign project to make the SOS user experience more intuitive and increase sales.

Problem
This original standard user flow lacked a shopping cart, accessibility options, and an in-depth product description page. 

Updates
Key improvements included an organized shopping grid, a product page with space for additional media, a page where users can view and adjust their cart, and a simpler, more intuitive checkout screen.

In order to vend free items and samples, users must submit an email address. I designed this user flow with the option to enter via a mobile device or by using a keyboard. This UI feature enabled SOS to sell FPD to participating brands and locations.
